We are seeking an experienced Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruiting efforts across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background sourcing and hiring for production, skilled trades, and plant support roles, and is fluent in both English and Spanish to effectively engage with our diverse workforce and candidate pool.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing and production roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers.
- Partner with plant managers, supervisors, and department leaders to understand staffing needs and build effective hiring plans.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, community partnerships, job fairs, and local outreach programs.
- Conduct bilingual (English/Spanish) phone screens, interviews, and candidate communications to ensure clear understanding throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate and participate in hiring events, career fairs, and community recruiting initiatives, including those targeting Spanish-speaking candidates.
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with accurate candidate and requisition data.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for high-volume and hard-to-fill manufacturing positions.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
- Support employer branding efforts to attract talent in a competitive manufacturing labor market.
- Track and report on recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source of hire, and offer acceptance rates.
- Ensure compliance with EEOC, OFCCP (if applicable), and other employment regulations throughout the hiring process.
- Assist with onboarding coordination to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of recruiting experience, with a strong focus on manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.
- Demonstrated success in high-volume and/or hard-to-fill recruiting.
- Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruiting/sourcing tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing roles, shift structures, and plant-floor operations preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Working knowledge of employment law and hiring compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Paycom or other HRIS/ATS platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Experience recruiting for skilled trades (maintenance techs, machine operators, welders, etc.).
- Familiarity with local labor market trends and community organizations serving Spanish-speaking job seekers.
- Experience building and maintaining recruiting partnerships with technical schools, community colleges, and workforce development agencies.
Physical / Work Environment
- Ability to occasionally visit manufacturing floor areas as part of hiring events or plant tours (PPE provided as required).
- Some travel may be required for job fairs and community outreach events.
